Most Read Stories of 2024

From Marburg in Rwanda to burn pits in Afghanistan, these were the ten most popular stories of 2024 from the Brown University School of Public Health.

2024 was in many ways defined by instability, with growing biosecurity threats, ongoing wars and mounting distrust of science and public health. At Brown, our focus on advancing population health, especially for the most vulnerable, is unwavering. The stories below demonstrate that commitment and showcase the impact our faculty, staff and students are having in Providence and around the world.

We encourage you to take a moment to consider what it means to summarize a turbulent year. To sit for a moment and reflect on the challenges and triumphs that we leave in 2024. And to think ahead to 2025. Please join us in continuing to strive toward a world rich in health, peace and opportunity.
