Leadership and Governance

Guiding the School of Public Health; leading by example.

Led by Dean Ashish K. Jha, the Brown University School of Public health is focused on advancing public health education and research. The dean works closely with the school's Executive Committee—comprised of academic and administrative leaders—as well as the school's Advisory Council, to ensure that the school meets the needs of students, faculty and staff through attentive oversight.

Managing a world-class research institution and providing a welcoming academic home for our students is a task that requires organization and teamwork—it's not the work of one individual, but an endeavor undertaken by many. Successfully charting the course for our School of Public Health is a matter of vision and cooperative effort.

Looking Beyond Brown’s Campus

The school's Community Advisory Board provides a forum for dialogue between the Rhode Island public health community and our school's leadership and faculty. With partnership around community health needs and the research and educational priorities of the School of Public Health, this group aims to foster research collaboration and to help translate research emerging from the school into public health practice.
