Why did you choose the Brown University School of Public Health?

I selected the Brown University School of Public Health due to its exceptional reputation for cutting-edge research, innovative teaching techniques, and commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive community. Brown's interdisciplinary approach to public health perfectly aligns with my passion for tackling complex health problems from various perspectives. I am particularly drawn to the school's focus on creating real-world impact, collaborative learning, and social justice. I firmly believe that by being a part of the Brown University School of Public Health community, I can make a significant contribution to advancing public health initiatives and making a positive impact on society.

What do you enjoy most about your program?

What I enjoy most about my program is the opportunity to be part of the UG/MPH program, as it allows me to seamlessly transition from my undergraduate studies to pursuing a Master's in Public Health. This path not only saves time but also offers a more integrated and focused educational experience. It's exciting to think that I can delve deeper into public health while building on the foundation I've laid during my undergraduate studies. This program provides a clear and efficient pathway to furthering my passion for public health and pursuing my goals toward an equitable society.

What is your academic area of interest and why?

I am deeply interested in the fields of epidemiology and global health. I am fascinated by the power of epidemiology to uncover disease patterns and identify interventions, as well as the potential of global health to address health disparities on a global scale. My passion is to make a meaningful impact in the realm of global public health challenges, specifically in understanding and mitigating health disparities and infectious diseases across diverse communities.

What are your postgraduate goals/plans?

I have a strong desire to work directly in the field of public health, working closely with individuals and communities to improve their health and well-being. This hands-on approach resonates with my passion for making a positive impact on people's lives through public health initiatives. I am also interested in pursuing further education, which includes a medical degree or a Ph.D. in Public Health. Ultimately, my goal is to combine my practical experience with advanced academic knowledge to become a leader and advocate in the field of public health, addressing global health challenges and driving positive change for the betterment of society.
