Research Seed Funding awards are competitively awarded and help faculty more successfully advance competitive research proposals by supporting the generation of preliminary data, pursuing new directions or collaborations in research, and other endeavors. A new project by Alexander W. Sokolovsky, Assistant Professor of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and Jasjit S. Ahluwalia, Professor of Behavioral and Social Sciences and of Medicine, to compare heat-not-burn tobacco to e-cigarettes and to investigate their harm reduction potential among socioeconomically disadvantaged smokers has been awarded Research Seed Funding by Brown University.
