Led by Interim Dean Francesca L. Beaudoin, the Brown University School of Public health is focused on advancing public health education and research.
Brown has been my home for nearly two decades as an emergency physician, doctoral student, faculty member and academic dean. It is a community whose collective efforts serve our state, our nation and the world. That collaboration among faculty, staff and students is foundational to the School of Public Health’s success: it is integral to our mission and the impact we will continue to make.
Upholding the highest standards of effective governance, the Office of the Dean promotes an environment of innovation and interdisciplinary cooperation throughout our school. Its commitment to operational and academic rigor underpins the school’s achievements in tackling complex public health challenges, conducting groundbreaking research, and producing graduates who make impactful contributions in the field.
The school's Community Advisory Board provides a forum for dialogue between the Rhode Island public health community and our school's leadership and faculty. With partnership around community health needs and the research and educational priorities of the School of Public Health, this group aims to foster research collaboration and to help translate research emerging from the school into public health practice.
